A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Kumo's Dungeon is an immersive dungeon-crawler inspired by retro classics like King’s Field, modern adaptations like Lunacid, and The Legend of Zelda series. 

You are a prisoner, newly cast into the dungeon’s shadowy depths. Armed with only a rusted blade, you must brave the darkness (and its denizens) and forge a path to freedom.

But somewhere, deep below the surface, a voice beckons you. Seek it out, and perhaps you will be granted the power to conquer the Dungeon itself. 

( Kumo's Dungeon was developed within the span of approx. 10 days for Bigmode Game Jam 2025 and was designed around the theme of ‘Power’. )

How does your game represent "Power"?

Kumo's Dungeon revolves around how a player experiences power (or the lack thereof). The player may feel small and vulnerable at first, but in time, they harness incredible power that can trivialize anything in their path.

I really like the aesthetic you captured! The audio-visual experience is definitely on point, very well done. :)

There’s still a number of issues. Besides the one with rooms not loading, I found a bug where I fell through the floor when respawning at the first checkpoint. The knight boss is also.. very janky, the animations don’t align with the hurtbox and its attacks are easy to avoid. I assume the boss is supposed to be overpowered and kill you in a second, but I ended up walloping it for several minutes, confused as to why it wouldn’t die, hehe.

I really hope you’ll be able to iron out the kinks!! Will be looking forward to the fixed version. <3

The falling under the floor has been fixed with our current dev build. We'll also be polishing the knight boss. He was a last day addition and we were working on him in the last hour of the jam, so that's very unpolished.

But we'll be continuing to fix these issues and add more polish!
